Casa de Esperanza, Inc. was incorporated as a California non-profit in 1977 to offer safety, support, and education to women and children escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse.
Casa de Esperanza is a refuge, providing protection and education for people caught in the cycles
of domestic violence sexual assault, and child assault. Casa is a
healing community where victims can receive the nurturing and support
necessary to their efforts in gathering control of their own lives.
Casa offers 24-hour crisis line and intervention as well as 24-hour intake for survivors of partner abuse and their children who fit our criteria of safety for other clients, personal responsibility, and accountability. Confidentiality is the building block from which we all work. Staff and clients alike are expected to hold that confidentiality.
Our services include safe shelter for
women and children from infant through the age of 17. Additional
services include assistance with transport to Casa, 1:1 counseling for
adults and children who are verbal, advocacy with other agencies on the
phone or in person, and response to any agency that calls for an
advocate to come and talk to a person they believe to be a victim. Casa
also provides assistance in filing for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVO).
Casa de Esperanza is an Affirmative Action Program. Admission is not based on race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, sex or sexual orientation. The shelter is wheelchair accessible.
